Happy Independence Day!! Thank the Lord that we live in the free-est, most democratic nation (still) on earth. Thank God that we live in a land where our rights are (still) protected and that all people are given the opportunities to make something of themselves in our society.

Now, for the latest issue concerning YOU and ME this 4th of July...

Take cover my friends, Kim Jung Il has vowed to launch (test) rockets AT the state of Hawaii on the 4th of July. This AFTER North Korea has threatened to 'weaponize' its supplies of plutonium (used in manufacturing nuclear weapons), violated a United Nations resolution by allegedly 'moving' rocket parts, nuclear technology or other sensitive material to other countries in the region (the USS John McCain is in pursuit), AND calling President 'Obummer' (and the United States) out by saying, "If the U.S. imperialists start another war, the army and people of Korea will ... wipe out the aggressors on the globe once and for all." Obummer's reaction? Wait for it...Wait for it...Wait for it...NOTHING!! No condemnation, no ramping up the rhetoric (where the HELL is Ronald Reagan when you need him) and little discussion to the American people about quelling fears or doubt. Nope. Instead, he had a luau at the White House and threw softballs at the dunk tank. Seriously? Do you people still believe that this guy is competent to serve as our President? Do you believe that he has the SAFETY of our nation as his primary role? Or is he MORE concerned with getting some kind of socialist agenda passed (nationalized health care, cap and trade, and amnesty).

So, this 4th of July, make sure you keep your head down and stay close to your bomb shelter.

Ann Ryand’s book “Atlas Shrugged” begins with the famous line, “Who is Jon Galt?” The question today should be, “Who is Gerald Walpin?”

The answer? Well, Walpin WAS the inspector general for the Corporation for National Community Service, another “community organizing program” created in 1993. According to their own website (http://www.nationalservice.gov/about/role_impact/history.asp), the CNCS hopes to “connect Americans of all ages and backgrounds with opportunities to give back to their communities and their nation”. Sound legitimate and noble enough. Right? Well, as with ALL the other legislation, bailouts and hair-brained schemes that this administration cooks up, this story of the firing of Walpin smells (like an onion) the more you peel away the veneer.

For those who do not know, an Inspector General is a high ranking official charged with the mission to inspect and report on some bodies in their field of competency within the Federal government. In other words, they are a ‘watchdog’ for the taxpayers and citizens of this country. Federally, there are 64 Offices of Inspectors General and their activities include the detection and prevention of fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement of the government programs and operations within their parent organizations. The positions are generally believed to be non-partisan. However, they do answer to Congress and the White House.

Last Wednesday night, Inspector General Gerald Walpin was fired. And NOBODY is talking about this as anything except that it is ‘just another day in Obama-land’. Walpin was fired, according to the letter written by Obama, because he (Obama) had “lost faith” in Walpin’s ability to do his job. Now what does that mean? Well, could it have something to do with the fact that Walpin had discovered that a well-known Obama ‘hack’ (Sacramento’s own mayor Kevin Johnson) had been misappropriating CNCS funds ($800 million of YOUR tax dollars)?

Walpin found that Johnson and St. HOPE had failed to use the federal money they received for the purposes specified in a grant and had also used federally-funded AmeriCorps staff for, among other things, "driving [Johnson] to personal appointments, washing his car, and running personal errands." Walpin came to the conclusion that Johnson and St. HOPE should be subject to suspension and debarment. In September 2008, the order was given to suspend future grants to St. Hope, with the distinct possibility that it would lead to a permanent debarment from receiving future federal funds. Walpin’s investigation could have led to Johnson being barred from EVER winning another federal grant or might have prevented Sacramento from receiving its part of billions of dollars in federal stimulus money.

Enter our hero, BARRY SOTERO. Before the suspension or debarment could go through, Walpin was FIRED. The firing is par for the course for this administration; “Don’t like it? You’re gone. Don’t approve? You’re gone. QUESTION MY AUTHORITY? You’re gone.” However, BARRY SOTERO has really stepped in it with this one. The firing may have been ILLEGAL. Under rules and regulations passed just last year by (Democrat-led) Congress, inspectors generals MUST be given 30 days notice of their impending termination AND the president MUST outline, in specific detail, why they want the offending inspector general fired. Neither of these has taken place.

Does BARRY really believe that he can operate outside the law? Well, as long as his ‘cult of personality’ continues and there are those who view him and his ‘lunatic fringe’ policies as both saviors of the American way of life, the pain will continue.

Perez Hilton, David Letterman and the LEFT'S Politics of HATE

It's been a while since my last post. I have been trying to digest all the dogma, insincerity, and overall LUNACY that has befallen our country, our society and our political system. Here are my latest thoughts.

HYPOCRISY--Is the act of being less critical of oneself than of others.

This is the left's gravy train. As the common viewer (and average learner) have come to find out, the left isn't about 'equal opportunity' or 'equal treatment' FOR ALL PEOPLE. They are ELITISTS and work very hard to disparage and marginalize ANYONE (from VP candidate to Miss California) who doesn't agree with their particular views. Their public attacks on those who question their positions and beliefs are akin to a verbal blitzkrieg where NOTHING is sacred and ALL are beaten, brutalized and broken-boned (verbally).

First case in point. Carrie Prejean, now 'former' Miss California. At the Miss Universe pageant in April, Miss Prejean did not give the answer that an openly gay judge (Perez Hilton) expected or thought were appropriate. For those out of the loop, Hilton asked Prejean, "Vermont recently became the 4th state to legalize same sex marriage. Do you think every state should follow suite, why or why not?" Prejean's answer was articulate and demonstrative to her core values ("We live in a nation that gives people choice, however, I believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman"). While we may never truly know if this answer cost her the crown (Hilton scored her answer a ZERO), we do know what Hilton's response to her answer was just by perusing the blogosphere the following day. In an interview, Hilton called Miss Prejean "a dumb bitch" and even referred to her as "a c%#t" on his very own blog page. Now I ask you, is that the language of a group of people who are 'concerned' about the welfare of ALL human beings? And one really needs to ask WHY Hilton needed to refer to her in such a mysogynistic fashion. Where is NOW or the ACLU when you need them? HAHA. Of course we know where they are.



By the way, apparently there were 4 guys on the judges panel for Miss Universe who were gay. When did a gay man become a better judge of HOT-NESS than a straight man? Just asking. Isn't that like asking a lesbian to judge a Chip And Dale's 'dance off'?

Point Two. David Letterman. Good God, the bucktooth lame-brain was at it again last week sharing his brand of 'humor' with his band of mindless, starstuck auto-matons. Again, forgive me for having to recall the facts, but some folks DO live under a rock. On his program last Monday night, Letterman said this: "There was hold up during the Yankee game the other night. Sarah Palin's daughter, during the 7th inning, was knocked up by Alex Rodriguez." And then on Tuesday (and I didn't even know about this one when I began this post) he said: "The toughest part of her [Palin's] trip to NY was keeping Elliot Spitzer away from her daughter." This is a 62 year old man talking about a 14 year old adolescent girl folks. Now again, are these comments humorous? Better question, ARE THEY APPROPRIATE? Whether or not you agree with Letterman's brand of brainless humor is beside the point here. The REAL point is that, like Hilton, Letterman participates in the sniping, politics of HATE that EVERY left-wing loon finds solace in. The mindless, sophomoric game plan of marginalization of candidates/celebrities (of the conservative movement--neither would have ANYTHING negative to say about Barry Sotero, Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank or any of the other windchime, incense burining crew) and ramp up other vicious verbal attacks by less-known media personalities. Do you think Letterman has 'inspired' a small segment of society to believe that statutory rape is OK? Do you think he might have somehow encouraged others in the media to also 'try' and be cute by laying the smack-eth down on one of Palin's children? What's next Letterman? Jokes about Trigg Palin who has Downs Syndrome? Let's hope not, but I wouldn't put it past him.

One last comment on the Letterman-thing...The New York Times has 'covered' the joke up by NOT posting it as part of the show's transcript. Embarrassment? Disgrace? Or HIDING the TRUTH so that others cannot judge for themselves. YOU decide.

So you see, the people on the left ARE mean-spirited, intolerant and hateful. They take every opportunity to spew their gut-wrenching ugliness on all of us. And then, when of course mainstream America calls them on it, they use some kind of excuse about how they were 'misquoted', 'misunderstood' or how by them being put on the spot is part of some 'right-wing' conspiracy.

BOTTOM LINE...You can't have it both ways. If you are going to spread your disease of HATE, you have to be willing to accept that you might become a target of that same disease as well.

Red & Blue States: Economic Forecasting Made Easy

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics recently released unemployment rates for March 2009 to ‘non-existent’ media attention (more on that some other time). And guess what? Now, what can we extrapolate or forecast by these numbers? This one is easy. If your state is dominated by dems/progs, you have a better than 50-50 chance that your state will, if it isn’t already, operate in the RED. That means that your state will essentially HAVE to cut programs in order to ‘balance the budget’. Where will those cuts come? That will depend on your left-wing loon state legislature.

For example, look at California and its “Govern-ator” (Yah, I’ll crush you with my large biceps until you wail like a little girly man). They are trying to balance the budget by selling San Quentin (a state prison), legalizing the recreational use of marijuana (as a source of tax revenue), and lay off some 50,000 teachers and release ‘non-violent’ inmates from CA prisons. http://gov.ca.gov/press-release/12307/

So, where is our country headed under the current progressive leadership in Congress and in the White House? You need look no farther than ‘The Golden State’ for an example. Unable to fund the out of control spending by a left-wing loon state legislature, the state is on the verge of bankruptcy. Things have gotten so bad in CA that the state is having an increasingly difficult time selling its bonds to prospective investors (including other U.S. state governments). The state of CA has solved this problem by selling the bonds to the Bay Area Toll Authority (owned by the state). CA’s credit rating has been downgraded from A+ to just plain A, the LOWEST bond rating in the country. An honor CA shares with Louisiana. Can you smell economic MELDOWN?

So, as long as Congress and the Dali-Bama are going to spend OUR hard-earned tax dollars on meaningless programs (you don’t really want me to list them all do you?), we are headed for the economic abyss. Hopefully, your state is taking measures now to insulate itself from the long arm of the Federal government by signing on to the Patrick Henry Foundation, a 10^th Amendment group who opposes the ultra micro-managing coming from Washington, DC. And, hopefully, your state will be changing its color in 2010.

Have YOU Been Identified?

Something happened recently that concerns all those who 'study' history. You may or may not be familiar with the Department of Homeland Security's issuance of 'The Right-Wing Extremist Report' or the subsequent 'Lexicon of Domestic Extremists'. If not, here's the skinny.

Janet Napolitano and DHS (Dept. of Homeland Security) has spent sometime identifying those people who they consider a threat to the safety and security of this country. A reasonable job for such an office? You bet. The only problem is, those on the list are AMERICANS. What? Believe it. Identified and named on the list are those who support anti-abortion legislation, oppose gun control, oppose gay marriage, favor more border security or who have participated in recent anti-tax rallies (the TEA Parties on April 15). But the idiocy doesn't stop there. DHS issued the 'Lexicon of Domestic Extremists' a few days later and identified EXACTLY what they meant in the previous Right-Wing Extremist Report. Inluded in the lexicon are groups like 'Christian patriots, Constitutionalists, anti-immigration groups (like those who oppose giving illegals driver's licences), and the Sovereign Citizens Movement'. Now, why should this concern YOU? And what of the 'Historical' importance of this event (as I mentioned above? Well, about 80 years ago in a land far away, there was a dictator who knew that there were those who would oppose his every move once they figured out what his real intentions were. So, he organized a private police force to be run by the government (him) and set about identifying those 'groups' that he knew would balk at his proposals. This group was given the authority to investigae cases regarding treason, espionage and sabotage but was also given the power to imprison people without judicial proceedings. No one thought the lesser of it, and, in time, the group became a public fixture. The group began by 'identifying' so-called 'enemies of the state' but soon, these people were not just being identified. They were being identified and led off to camps, which were also under the control of this police force.

Still curious as to the Historical importance?

Well, the description that I have just given is a general outline of Hitler's Gestapo which was born in 1933 and was a source of fear, hate and depravity in Nazi Germany throughout WWII.

Can you see why "identifying" citizens of this country (which in itself is a violation of the Constitution) is a dangerous game? Can you see how this game of identification can soon be turned into a game of removal of Constitutional rights (like due process and habeus corpus)? Can you see that it is time for all of we Americans to start paying attention to this two-bit dictator who occupies the White House?

If you don't see the logic in this, the Historical parallels or the can of worms that this issue opens, then you are either a closet Nazi, or a person who didn't pay attention in History class.

Tired? Me Too

Are you tired? Tired of watching the greatest country in the world nosedive into obscurity? Tired of watching an under-qualified, second-rate community organizer make unbelievable, unintelligent decisions regarding the future of this nation? Are you tired of seeing the morality of our society continually high-jacked by the 'politically correct', 'do it if it feels good' crowd? Do you wonder where our leaders are?

If you can answer yes to these questions, you are not alone. I started this blog to deal with the insanity that is American politics today. As we see our government (and Mr. Obama) ring up huge deficits, turn their collective backs on the common citizen and ignore the wishes and demands of the silent majority, we (that is you and me) need to take a little bit more of 'aggressive' action.

I will be commenting on some (there is not enough time in the day to deal with all of it) of the ridiculous nonsense that is being shoved down our throats and, of course, putting my own little spin on it.
